2025 YEAR IN REVIEW!

A Message From Our Team

Dear Friends and Supporters Last year was full of incredible stories, hard work, and heartwarming outcomes. We’re excited to share updates on the projects we’re running, the lives we’ve impacted, and the milestones we’ve achieved. Thank you for being part of this journey to make the world a better place for animals!

What you made possible in 2025

Lifesaving treatment—at scale

2025 saw sustained high-volume street medicine, with many months in the 600–800+ treatment range, tackling the daily realities of street life: dogfight wounds, vehicle injuries, skin disease, infections, and emergencies.

Vaccination + disease prevention built into the model

Your support helps ensure that animals aren’t just treated—they’re protected. In April, the team highlighted a rise in parvovirus and reaffirmed the practice of vaccinating treated animals for parvo and rabies.

Every treated animal was vaccinated against rabies, with an additional 200 animals vaccinated during a focused campaign in March.

A major step forward: faster response + wider reach

In December, we announced a big operational leap: the team has now been split into two units, including a rapid-response motorcycle team to reach cases faster and expand into new areas—while also creating new leadership roles internally.

Community moments that mattered

From field visits that spotlight staff growth (like Doni stepping into supervision) to ongoing outreach and volunteer engagement, 2025 also strengthened the “people side” of sustainable animal welfare.

What you made possible in 2025

A major sterilization milestone

Our final sterilization event of the year sterilized 80 animals, bringing the 2025 year-to-date total to 555—a milestone achievement that prevents “tens of thousands” of future unwanted births over time, improving welfare and community health.

Throughout the year, the team ran repeated high-impact events—50 dogs in April, 70+ dogs and cats in May, 55 animals in June, 57 surgeries in September, and 75 animals in November.

Shelter care, every single day

Across 2025, the shelter consistently cared for ~50+ resident animals, providing daily medical care, enrichment, and socialization—often while operating at full capacity.

Reaching animals where they are

The Chiang Rai team responded to urgent needs beyond the shelter—like a large pack of dogs living at a garbage-burning facility, where the team provided medical care, vaccinated the group, and sterilized dogs where safe.

Emergency relief beyond Chiang Rai

At year-end, our partner (Chance Foundation Director Jeed) traveled to Hat Yai following catastrophic flooding, delivering supplies and assisting with relief and rescue work in the hardest-hit areas.

Volunteers, Education & Community Outreach

Across both countries, one theme kept showing up again and again in 2025: this work scales when the community is part of it.

In Kolkata, outreach and education remained a vital pillar of the project—whether speaking to students about caring for sick/injured street animals and preventing cruelty,

Or hosting visiting groups who observed field work and learned how they can make an impact in their own communities.

Our volunteer programs flourished this year, bringing new energy to our Chiang Rai operations. Groups and individuals joined us for hands-on work—providing essential grooming and care at the shelter while supporting our educational mission in local schools.

This year made it clear: treatments and sterilizations change individual lives—but education and community partnership change the future.

Your Gift Does
Twice the Good
