Kolkata, India
Our Kolkata team had a phenomenal month, shattering all previous milestones by performing a record-breaking 1,463 animal treatments!
To put this incredible achievement into perspective, that is an astonishing 127% increase over our treatment numbers from last June. Every single one of these numbers represents a wagging tail, a healing purr, or an animal given a second chance at life.
We love it when a rescue comes full circle! Back in late April, our team successfully rescued a cat stranded in a highly dangerous location. During the operation, we chatted with the grateful owner, Banani Ghosh, about the vital importance of proper safety equipment—like climbing harnesses and specialized ladders—to keep both our rescuers and the animals safe.
Moved by the rescue and eager to support our future missions, Banani asked how she could help. We mentioned that essential equipment donations are always a game-changer for us. On June 1st, she generously donated a professional climbing safety belt and harness to our organization!

Chiang Rai, Thailand
The Chiang Rai team had another incredibly productive month, continuing to provide daily care for the 52 dogs and cats currently living at our shelter while also extending our impact far beyond its walls. Every day our staff works tirelessly to ensure that each animal receives nutritious food, medical care, enrichment, and plenty of love as they recover from difficult beginnings and prepare for brighter futures.
One of this month’s biggest achievements was another successful community sterilization campaign, during which 71 dogs and cats were spayed or neutered. Sterilization remains one of the most effective and compassionate ways to reduce the number of homeless animals in our communities.
We were also delighted to celebrate two adoptions this month. Two of our dogs found their forever homes, giving them the opportunity to begin the next chapter of their lives. With our shelter consistently operating at maximum capacity, every available kennel allows us to respond when someone reaches out for help with an injured, abandoned, or vulnerable animal that has nowhere else to go.
The continued success of our Chiang Rai project is only possible because of the generosity of our supporters and the dedication of our local team. Every adoption, every sterilization, and every animal cared for represents another step toward creating a more compassionate community for animals.
