What We Do in India

Animal People Alliance operates a mobile animal ambulance across Kolkata, responding to street emergencies and treating injured or sick animals directly in their neighbourhoods. We run mass vaccination campaigns, protecting against rabies and parvo and work to sterilize street populations. Our team recruits, trains, and employs local community members, 75% of whom are women, progressing them into skilled animal caregivers.

Meet Benny

When Benny, a street dog, was found unable to eat due to a lodged bone, our mobile team removed the obstruction and provided weeks of follow-up care. Now healthy, Benny roams freely and is cared for daily by local neighbours who witnessed his rescue.
