Founded in 2016, Animal People Alliance Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving animal welfare and empowering local communities through sustainable, community-driven initiatives. Operating in Kolkata, India, and Chiang Rai, Thailand, we address the distinct challenges of animal care in each region while fostering compassion and kindness toward animals.

In Kolkata, India, our mobile animal ambulance delivers critical street treatment services for injured and sick animals directly in their neighborhoods, working alongside local caregivers. We provide life-saving treatments, administer rabies and parvo vaccinations to every animal we treat, and organize mass vaccination programs to combat preventable diseases.

In Chiang Rai, Thailand, we support and help manage an animal sanctuary and rehabilitation center for dogs and cats. The center offers adoption services, emergency rescue operations, and comprehensive care for animals in distress, including sterilization and vaccination services. Additionally, we serve tribal villages, providing free medical treatments, grooming, bathing, and sterilizations for animals in underserved communities. Our strong community outreach programs aim to educate residents on compassionate animal care practices and the importance of animal welfare.

 

At the heart of Animal People Alliance’s mission is our commitment to community empowerment. We recruit, hire, and train individuals from the local areas where we operate, creating employment opportunities and building diverse teams. Over 75% of our staff are women, many of whom come from marginalized communities and have overcome significant challenges to achieve their success with APA.
